Well....yesterday was our 4th Annual "Hays Wine Trip"!!! We had 12 in our group. Don & Carol Jane had to bow out at the last minute :( This year, as last, we went to Augusta MO and basically just stayed at one particular winery, Montelle. It's very very nice there. Rita had ordered 2 platters (as you can not take in your own snacks at this place) so we stayed there until around 5:00!!! Time went by quickly and did not seem like we were there that long! We had a great time and no one was "wine induced" ....well, Rita maybe but she can't handle it!!! 2 glasses and she's "toast" LOL At the end....she was determined that "no wine is left behind" and you will see what I am meaning by one particular picture in the following slide show.
*Road update....still traveling by gravel....and the first day we did so, I had a flat that evening before even leaving town. Nice, ey? We looked at it today when we got back (the entrance to our lane) and it's far from being opened within a week. Rat b*stards----------I'm sure that if it's not open by Wednesday, Mr. Hays will be calling the "road man"---since he left his card...that is what he just may get!
This weather is absolutely WONDERFUL....but I do believe is to get a little cooler this week. 60's in the day and even 40's at night. BOYYYYY! hehe Enjoy the nice weather and have a good week!
